Registration of Piglets:
Breeder quality pigs will come registered to new owner through the Idaho Pasture Pig Registry.
Registration information/transfer will be submitted upon final payment towards purchase price. Registry
will send paperwork to new owner – although often received much sooner, it can take up to 6-8 weeks
for certificates to be received by USPS. Seller can provide buyer with confirmation of information that
was submitted to the registry upon request.
Feeder quality pigs will not be registered, and no information will be received by the buyer from the Idaho
Pasture Pig Registry for feeder quality pigs.
Purchase Price:
The purchase price for Breeder Quality Idaho Pasture Pigs is $550 per piglet @ 8-9 weeks
of age. There will be an additional charge of $20/week for feed and care of any piglets after 9 weeks of
age unless other acceptable arrangements have been made between seller and buyer.
Older piglets/pigs will be priced according to age to compensate for additional feed expenses that have
gone into raising of piglet/pig.
The purchase price for feeder piglets is $175 per piglet. This purchase price assumes piglets will be picked
up at/by 9 weeks of age.
Security Deposit:
A security deposit of 50% of the total purchase price is required to reserve/hold pigs.
Security deposits are only refundable upon the death or in the event of a serious health condition prior to
pick-up. In the event a deposit is made prior to piglets being evaluated for quality determination and the
seller ends up being unable to fulfill reservation upon assessing piglet quality, the Buyer can request a
refund of the security deposit paid or move their deposit to a future litter and receive priority placement
on the waitlist for piglet(s) from a future farrowing.
Additional Terms and Conditions:
Although buyers may request a color preference for piglets and seller will do their best to honor the
request, color of piglets cannot be guaranteed and piglets will be selected and sold based on quality
assessments.
Buyer is responsible for picking up livestock.
Seller cannot and does not guarantee positive outcome of breeding or farrowing.
Buyer and seller agree that the livestock is being sold “as-is†with no warranties made by the Seller unless
otherwise stated in this Bill of Sale.
Although Seller does their best to assess conformation and predict how a piglet will grow out, Buyer
understands that it is impossible to know exactly what will happen as the pig grows and that changes may
occur throughout the growth period. Buyer is welcome to complete their own research and/or
assessment prior to purchase. In the event that the Seller is notified that a piglet did not grow out as
expected any refunds or replacements are at the discretion of the Seller. If the seller agrees that the piglet
is not satisfactory, the Seller, at their discretion, may replace the piglet with another piglet of Seller’s choice or may refund the difference between the price of a feeder piglet and the breeder price that was
paid.
Feeder quality piglets will be castrated males, aka barrows, unless otherwise discussed and agreed to by
both Seller and Buyer.
