We love our Idaho Pasture Pigs and would be happy to help you get started on your own Idaho Pasture Pig journey, whether that is just to raise your own meat or whether you are interested in breeding. The Idaho Pasture Pig breed was developed with homesteading in mind. They are a mix of Kune Kune for the fabulous and friendly temperament and Duroc and Berkshire for the faster growth rate and high quality meat (and the lard is fabulous too!). They are a grazing pig which means that they require less grain and they don’t tear up the land which was a huge bonus for us. They are a medium sized pig (breed stock boars are approximately 450 lbs and sows are generally around 350 lbs) and reach butcher weight of approximately 275 lbs in about 10-11 months.
Registration of Piglets: Breeder quality pigs will come registered to new owner through the Idaho Pasture Pig...
